Color moves the mind: enlivening appetites, soothing or inflaming the heart, stirring memory.  Our reaction to color is subliminal: it pervasively and seductively influences our experience of the world, until we cannot separate what we see from what we know.

My painting process emphasizes contrast and hue:  starting with select colors, I work the canvas from all angles, discovering the composition as colors interact with gravity and each other.  The paint is pushed to its chemical limit allowing it to mutate and evolve. The result is a bold and eclectic body of work that evokes a unique response in each viewer.
